”Big Rooney & The Doghouse” is a hard hitting rock/ bluesband from Norway. Big Rooney & The Doghouse” was founded after a great Live- performance at a major norwegian festival in august 2008. The first task was a 10 day tour as backing-band for blues–legend James Harman in september 2008. The band went to legendary Sun Studio in Memphis in october 2008 to record the 1st part of their first CD - ”A Murder Of Crows”. Five songs was recorded and the first single – ”Stray Cats & Wild Dogs” – was released on YouTube as music -video in november 2008. The Band went back to Sun Studio in april 2009 to complete the CD. Musically the band is grooving on melodic 70’s and 80’s rock’n roll fundet on the Blues as backbone. The sound has got clear inspirations from and references to artists like Nick Cave, Tom Waits, White Stripes and Morphine with a touch of KISS.
